Beija Babe Backstage: Brynhildur

Beija Babe Backstage: Brynhildur

Home is...

Home is, and will always be Reykjavik, Iceland, where my family and friends are.

What are you working on at the moment?

I'm an artist full time, art teacher at a middle school and lover of our planet. I'm currently working on a series of portraits that I've taken and am taking on my travels. Meeting new faces, learning about their culture, hopes, fears and loves... and drawing them. I dream is to use art to help children in need.

Most unforgettable lingerie moment?

My most unforgettable lingerie moment has to be when I was about 13 years old. I bought a red double push up bra. I didn't have any boobs at that age but thought I needed it anyway.

What are you most passionate about?

People. I'm most passionate about people. I hardly ever draw or paint landscapes or objects, only people. I love to travel, experience new cultures and meet new people. That's where my inspiration comes from. I'm also passionate about our planet. I'm from Iceland where nature is unspoilt and so beautiful... so to see that we're so wasteful makes me sad. I try my best to help the environment as much as possible.

At the moment you are....?

At the moment I am in this hole in the wall cafe in Melbourne, Australia.

Best London meal?

Korean fried chicken and beer!

If you could work with anyone, who would it be?

Salvador Dali or Picasso!

Beauty product you can't without is?

Eyebrow gel or mascara. I don't feel like myself unless the eyebrows are done.

What do you never leave the house with?

My keys... is that a little boring?

The strangest thing in your handbag is?

A spoon. Come in handy.

Favourite book?

Currently reading "The Subtle Art of Not Giving a Fuck" by Mark Manson but Americanah by Chimamanda Ngozi is one of my all time favourites.

Tell us about your jewellery.

I usually never wear any jewellery except my grandmother's old engagement ring. It's a small gold ring with 3 small red stones. (pictured in the photographs)
